My Life Journey – Timeline
CHILE – BIRTHPLACE
I was Born in Valparaíso, a port city on Chile’s coast. It’s known for its steep funiculars and colorful, clifftop homes.
My journey began with my education in Viña del Mar. Driven by a desire for professional growth, I relocated to New York City in 1991 to immerse myself in the graphic design industry. Since then, I have honed my craft by collaborating with major advertising agencies, bringing creative visions to life for global brands.
NEW YORK – NEW LIFE
Arriving in New York City was a trial by fire. It opened a door to relentless experimentation and pushed me into the elite, cutthroat world of corporate advertising. In environments where the most talented designers in the industry challenge you every single day, you either sink or you evolve. I evolved.
In the late 1990s, I began a journey to create a new style of digital printing, a technique I called “Modern Impressionism.” Since then, I have successfully held solo art shows in New York City, Washington, D.C., Costa Rica, and Chile.
COSTA RICA – NATURE
In 2013 decided to Leave the concrete grid of NYC for the living rhythm of Costa Rica, it was a profound transformation. Trading digital pixels for the tactile, messy, and rewarding world of a silkscreen press.
The birth of my daughter Julieta and welcoming my stepson Saul clearly unlocked a deeply authentic, grounded layer of my creativity. While balancing my life as a father and an artist, I discovered a completely new medium that I call “Vinyl Art.” Using a small vinyl cutter and a heat press, I began recreating classic Cubism artwork on canvas.
VERMONT – HOME
In 2019, my family and I returned to the United States and settled in Windsor, Vermont. This beautiful, historic town has become the perfect sanctuary for both my family and my creative practice. Surrounded by a unique blend of rich history and vibrant nature, my artwork is deeply inspired by the region’s stunning seasonal shifts—where lush, green summers give way to crisp, white winters, creating a powerful contrast that fuels my vision.
The Cornish–Windsor Covered Bridge is a magnificent historic landmark spanning 449 feet across the Connecticut River, directly connecting Windsor, Vermont, to Cornish, New Hampshire. Built in 1866, this timber Town lattice-truss structure remains the longest wooden covered bridge in the United States..
